Apostle Roy is a native Floridian, born in Tarpon Springs FL and residing in Tampa FL for most of his adult life. Apostle Roy felt the call on his life to ministry, and in October 1987, he and his late wife Sandi began their ministerial journey by connecting with a growing ministry in the Tampa Bay Area, where they were assigned to preside over Victory Services. Later becoming an Associate Pastor on staff full-time, Apostle Roy was responsible for Pastor Care and Visitations.
In October of 1990, Apostle Roy and Pastor Sandi founded Anointed Word Church of Tampa Bay. The church continues to thrive and grow today, being a beacon of light and hope to members of the West Tampa Community.
In addition to serving as a local pastor, Apostle Roy is an author of several books, including What’s Happened to Me (adult and children’s editions), The Connection Between Your Faith and Thinking (available in both English and Spanish), and The Power to Overcome Fear. The major thrust of Apostle Roy’s teaching is changing one life by the renewing of one's mind. He practices this in his daily life and teaches that people are able to overcome any life challenge by changing the way they think.
Apostle Roy was consecrated as an apostle on May 16, 2026 by Apostle Mark T. Jones of the Fellowship of Bible-Centered Ministries. His apostolic ministry consists of training local pastors and church leaders from around the world.
Apostle Roy is married to Pastor Brenna Fields Hayes, a pastor at Anointed Word Church, a Christian author, speaker and transformational life coach.
